ROAD SAFETY WEEK CELEBRATION 17th – 22nd January 2022 Theme – ‘’Sadak Suraksha Jeevan Raksha’’

 
An initiative to make the students aware of traffic rules and safety measures that we should take while moving on the road’.

Everyday many people are involved in road accidents. Some are killed. Many more are injured. So it is important for us to learn to use the roads properly and safely.

As the roads are very busy now-a-days, we should be very careful when crossing one. It is safer to use a pedestrian crossing or an overhead bridge whenever one is available. If there is no crossing, then we must look carefully right and left and cross only when it is safe to do so.

To celebrate road safely week (17 JAN ’22 to 22 JAN 22) certain activities were conducted class wise for the month of JANUARY ’22 through the VIRTUAL PLATFORM

CLASS – VI: In order to celebrate road safety week students of class 6th composed melodious Jingles in order to spread awareness about steps to ensure safety on the road. They mentioned traffic rules and explained traffic symbols to apprise the audience regarding the same.

CLASS –VII : Students of class VII narrate story with characters and situations of their choice depicting any one of the given themes- : Accident Prone spots / Road Etiquettes / No Signal Jumping in the form of a video.

CLASS –VIII : Students of class VIII made beautiful posters depicting ‘Accident Trauma & Emergency’. The students participated in the activity enthusiastically and sensitized others to be responsible and aware.















CLASS IX : Students of class IX prepared a Comic Strip on any one of the following topics -   Use of Mobile phones while driving/Accident Prone Spots/ Road Etiquettes/ No Signal. The activity aimed that everyone should adopt road safety rules so that no accident occurs. Students made the comic strips from different online applications and got to know more about the online software’s for making comic strips. It was a new learning experience for all the students. Making comic strip was fun, students got enlightened more about road safety and it also encouraged them to follow the traffic rules.





CLASS X :  Students of class X conducted-  Song / Rap  performance on the theme

                              Safe Driving, Saves Lives”.

Music is the best way to convey message to the mass, so the students of class- X composed meaningful Rap talking about road safety, Methods to prevent road accidents, traffic rules etc. They also highlighted how due to our carelessness innocent lives are put in danger. Saving ourselves from being the part of the problem is completely in our hand.

ROAD SAFETY ACTIVITIES (Classes : VI-VIII)

 

“Prepare and prevent, don’t repair and repent”

“Number of deaths because of road accidents are increasing at a fast rate in India .Our children who are the future of the nation, are passionate about reiterating the importance of following road safety rules & amp; putting them across strongly to the people around.

‘An initiative to make the students aware of traffic rules and safety measures that we should take while moving on the road’ certain activities were  conducted class wise for the month of September’21 through the VIRTUAL PLATFORM.


CLASS – VI : NAYEE SOCH - Students of class VI made beautiful posters depicting ‘Accident Trauma & Emergency’. The students participated in the activity enthusiastically and sensitized others to be responsible and aware.









CLASS –VII : UNMASK THE FUTURE - Students of class VII designed face masks to combat pollution. They were supposed to use eco friendly or waste material for the same. The students of class 7 showed great interest while performing the activity.










CLASS –VIII : ‘ SADAK SURAKSHA – JEEVAN RAKSHA - In order to sensitize students about safety measures while moving on road ,an essay writing activity was conducted. The students of class VIII presented their views on A4 size sheet on the given theme

Virtual Assembly by Class 6C on Road Safety

Class 6C presented the assembly on the topic road safety. It was marked by invoking the gods through Gayatri mantra and the prayer. Then Nayonica mesmerized everyone with her dance vandana to pay tribute to the God.


Students also showcased their talent as self composed poetry recitation by Ashmita Soni. Aniket and Shaurya conducted an informative traffic related trivia session which presented many facts related to road safety from across the globe. GK quiz related to the topic was conducted by Ananya and all students from middle level enjoyed participating in it.

The assembly proved to be very enriching as students were apprised of the several safety rules and measures they should keep in mind while travelling on road through the means of role play. Namrata, Divya, Prachi, Shreyasi, Bhumika and Ishita talked about traffic rules as they played the role of traffic lights and symbols.

To mark the end, cabinet member Kshitij Naithani invited all to take an oath with the pledge to ensure safe driving and travelling on the roads. The assembly was concluded by the class teacher’s talk and vote of thanks.

SPECIAL ASSEMBLY ON ‘ROAD SAFETY’

 

“Safety brings first aid to the uninjured.”

Road safety is an issue of prime concern to all. Be it a pedestrian, rickshaw puller or a vehicle driver, anyone can fall prey to mishaps on roads.

Class VI-E made an attempt to reduce the number of such unfortunate incidences by sensitizing students towards this global issue SAFETY ON RAOD, conducted morning assembly through a virtual platform on 15th  September.

The assembly comprised of prayer followed by thought of the day on the theme of the assembly and asked G.K. Questions related to the knowledge of traffic rules.

Student’s talk mentioned immediate causes and traumatic effects of impulsive behavior of people on roads. The importance of obeying traffic rules while travelling on the roads was also depicted by a beautiful poem.

Students from class VI made their peers aware of the safety norms and took a pledge that they would make their parents adhere to these safety norms.

The aim of the assembly was to enhance respect for one’s life and that of others- and inculcate the sensitivity that each life matters, thereby inspiring students to act responsibly on the road and make Indian road the safest in the world.
