Everyday many people are involved in road accidents. Some are killed. Many more are injured. So it is important for us to learn to use the roads properly and safely.
The global status report on road safety estimates that more than 2,31,000 people are killed in road traffic crashes in India every year, which is more than the number of deaths caused due to deadly diseases.
Our school is taking initiative to sensitize the students/ parents/ staff (teaching/ non teaching staff) about road safety.
For the same certain activities were planned and conducted class wise for the month of August’20 through VIRTUAL PLATFORM.
CLASS – VI : Students of class VI participated in brochure making activity with complete zeal and enthusiasm and realized that when road safety products are utilized correctly, they can save lives and prevent accidents.
CLASS –VII : To spread an awareness about the road safety rules, Class VII students made posters on rules of road safety and provided an insight into the various road safety rules that can help an individual to have safe travel on the road.
CLASS –VIII - The students of class VIII were guided to write an article on the topic ‘The Importance of Road Safety’. The activity aimed at testing their awareness about the traffic rules and making them sense their responsibility and accountability for the nation. The students expressed themselves aesthetically.
CLASS –IX- Class IX students were supposed to design ‘padlets’ on Importance of Road Safety. The students enthusiastically participated in this activity by also gaining knowledge about the new AI tool. Here is a glimpse of the activity by students of all the sections of Class IX.
